Having a caregiver come into your home can feel uncomfortable and even invasive. When Heather first meets with you, she will listen to your needs and desires and will take that information back to the office to work with our scheduler, ensuring the caregiver(s) chosen to assist you are trained and experienced to meet your care needs. Equally as important, is that their personality and interests are similar to yours. Your comfort and confidence in your caregivers and our team is of utmost importance to us!
All of our caregivers are thoughtfully chosen to be a part of our team here at Solutions. In addition to several interviews, we check references to make sure their work history shows reliability, integrity and a sincere heart to care for others. Additionally, we run a national background check. It is very important that we know beyond a reasonable doubt that you or your loved one is safe and well cared for by our staff.
Our Registered Nurse oversees all of our clients and their assisted living and healthcare needs. In addition, each client is assigned a Care Coordinator who is in direct contact with all caregivers. Our caregivers are our eyes and ears for each home and we rely on them to observe and report concerns to the Care Coordinator so that we can intervene by calling family and/or the doctor should there be a medical concern. This type of oversight and communication has shown to significantly decrease the need to make trips to the ER by catching illness in the early stages. The Care Coordinators also visit our clients on average of once a month. This allows for open dialogue to request changes in the care routine, schedule or to express concerns. Our clients have great relationships with their Care Coordinators and they appreciate knowing they have an advocate specifically for them, to make sure their experience is a positive one.
Additionally, we have a skills lab dedicated to training for all levels of caregivers and any time during employment with us should they need it. Whether it may be for an overview on skills or their first time learning a new skill, we are here to support them in their career! Our skills lab is in our office, fully equipped to train on Hoyer lifts, bed baths, toileting, transfers, catheter care, and a whole lot more! Our Training Coordinator offers skills training every other Thursday in the skills lab. All staff are welcome to sign up to learn new things or sharpen their skills. Always feel free to give us a call to schedule some training and come meet our mannequin, Betsy!
Give us a call if you have any questions. Our staff would love to help you (509) 627-8575.
